This ripe wine has soft tannins, brightness and a smoky edge, but it's really all about juicy fruit. Domaine Virginie Thunevin is a fine example of a fruit forward, easy to drink, uncomplicated, Merlot dominated, Bordeaux value wine. The wine is best served at 15.5 degrees Celsius, 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
The cool, almost cellar temperature gives the wine more freshness and lift.
A perfect pair for all types of classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised, and grilled dishes. Also good when matched with Asian dishes, rich fish courses like tuna, mushrooms, and pasta.
